When I turned 21, my dad and cousin decided to give me some advice (get ready for this one).
They basically told me: “enjoy this year, it goes downhill after that”.
Back then, I just laughed it off and got on with life.
But the older I got, the more I heard this phrase. Most people seemed to have a breaking point in their early or mid 20’s.
But now at 28, I still haven’t found that point where I slow down. For me, it’s the opposite.
So I decided to take a look at these people’s habits around the age of 23.
What I quickly realized was that these people were neglecting essential things.
Sleep, a healthy diet, an exercise routine, etc.
Others thought they were eating healthy but weren’t at all. That is what happens when you listen to overweight health experts or just blindly follow obvious propaganda when it comes to diets.
This obviously resulted in the fact that they ended up looking older than they were. Plus they felt like they were out of their prime somewhere in their 20’s.
The reality is that they missed out on it because they never took care of their health.
So what can we take away from this?
Health is wealth and how you age is in direct correlation with how healthy you are.
So take care of yourself since you will pay the price down the line for not doing it.
In the end, not a single person wants to look like an overweight alcoholic who came out rehab 2 days ago.
Yet some people do.
