Honesty is a very expensive gift. Don’t expect it from cheap people. There are a lot of people who don’t like me but can you guess why? Because I’m not afraid of telling the truth and nobody likes to hear the truth. Because the truth mostly shows you things about yourself that you didn’t want to acknowledge yet or will never acknowledge at all. It’s like the time when I realized that I was going bald. I did a lot to hide it like most guys but eventually, I just shaved it off. You can’t escape the truth forever or you’ll just live in an imaginary world where everybody but you know that you’re lying. Honesty is a virtue that I highly value. The same goes for respect and integrity. There are more virtues which are important but most people can’t even fit those so why even mention the rest?

Honesty goes a long way but most people lie to themselves and even others. This kind of behavior makes sure that you live a pretty frustrating life because neglecting the truth makes sure that you can’t progress in life. But lying to others makes sure that you end up in some frustrating events as well. Because now you have to keep up with all the stories you made up. So it’s never a good thing to lie. The world would be a better place if people were a little bit more honest with each other.
Honesty: stop lying to yourself.
Most people lie to themselves all the time. They’ll claim that they’re fine when other people ask them how they’re doing or they’ll claim that they are fine with the way they are. Both lies make sure that you can’t progress in life because how can you expect to progress in life if you’re not honest with yourself? This might be comforting but nothing grows inside of your precious comfort zone. Why don’t you take a good look at yourself to see where you can improve? It might be for the better since we all have points where we can improve. Nobody is perfect and nobody ever will be. So stop pretending you’re perfect. It’s extremely arrogant and delusional as well.
Honesty: stop lying to others.
There are 2 ways to lie to others.
- you either don’t want to hurt them
- you’re afraid, to tell the truth
These are both dick moves if you ask me. You’re making sure that another person is living in constant doubt about what’s your take on something. It doesn’t matter if you lie or tell the truth to people because they’ll be hurt anyway since they’ll know that you lied. So it’s the same in the short run but honesty is a lot better in the long run. People who lie to others are cowards in my opinion.
But what about the people who’re afraid, to tell the truth? Well, they’re a part of our modern pussy generation. I wonder how these people can live with themselves. Can they look themselves in the eyes and say that they’re a good human being? I don’t think so to be honest. They’ll probably try to escape their reality all the time.
In conclusion: I rather live in a hard truth than in ignorant bliss.
