How many hours are you wasting per day?

How many hours are you wasting per day? That's a pretty confronting question, right? But are you able to be honest with yourself and answer this question? Let us assume that you have to be at your job or school for about 8 hours and that you sleep for 7 to 9 hours.

How many hours are you wasting per day? That’s a pretty confronting question, right? But are you able to be honest with yourself and answer this question? Let us assume that you have to be at your job or school for about 8 hours and that you sleep for 7 to 9 hours. So you’ve still got 6 to 8 hours left in your day to do great stuff. I can assure you that you can get a lot of work done in such a period. It’s in those hours that you’re able to carve out a better future for yourself but most people rarely use that time wisely. Or they do it from time to time. But you can’t expect to get great results if you’re not creating momentum in life. Well, let’s take a look at your average day.

How many hours are you wasting per day?

I believe that a lot of people are doing self- destructive behavior without even realizing it. I mean I can’t imagine that someone gets up and says something like: “well today I’m going to start to destroy my life until I’m complete depressed or even suicidal”. This behavior may start with little things like snoozing all the time but you soon lose the momentum in your life and get stuck in your destructive pattern. Soon after that you spend hours mindlessly scrolling on social media or binge-watching television shows.

Let’s do the math here. Let’s assume that you waste 7 hours a day for one year. You’ll have wasted 2548 on average per year. That’s a lot of time since you waste about 106 days a year (2548/24 =106). I mean that’s one-third of a whole year that’s been spent without accomplishing anything! That’s sad. It’s sad!

We’ve got the habit of making things worse.

People like to victimize themselves which makes things even worse over time. They’re like “yeah I waste a lot of time but I can’t help it.” So they perform all sorts of forms of escapism to avoid this dark reality and get even more depressed. People have a weird tendency to turn pain into even more pain. They tend to do self-destructive acts instead of using their pain as fuel. People will do anything to avoid responsibility and the sad part is that they always realize that they have it.

I guess that people face a tremendous amount of suffering because deep down they know that they’re living under their potential. They know that they could do

But it doesn’t end there.

So many people don’t know the difference between being busy and being productive. Busy people rarely find time to do other thing but that shouldn’t be a surprise. How can you be productive if you’re constantly combining work with chit chat on social media? You’re wasting time and killing your productivity. There’s no such thing as multitasking.

People who claim to be great at multitasking are great at lying to themselves. They mostly have to sacrifice sleep to get things done. So you’re probably wondering what approach could be better?

Smart work beats hard work every single time. Focus on one thing at a time. You’ll be a lot more productive and you’ll have spare time. Sounds great, doesn’t it?!

How many hours are you wasting per day? What if…

So what if you stopped wasting all those hours in a day? You’d probably have gotten a lot more out of life and this is pretty confronting. You don’t need a giant ego to be hurt by this realization. It stings anyways. You’re living under your potential and you know it. That’s when you’re going to face hell because the combination of pain and a lesser state of mind makes it even more painful (trust me on this one). So what would happen if you would spend your time on more meaningful stuff? Well, you’d be a lot more happy that’s for sure. You’ll live a lot closer to your real potential or your true self.

You can grow so I suggest that you take it. You don’t want to face the consequences if you’re letting this opportunity slip away. It’s never too late but it’ll only get harder and harder over time. Your whole life will improve because everything the quality of your relationships depends on it as well. Great people attract other great people and they become great together. It’s a great base for a loving relationship with your intimate partner but also with friends.

How many hours are you wasting per day?

Stop wasting so much time because you only live once. You’re going to die one day and you don’t want to die with any regrets. That must hurt. Start striving for your real potential and make sure that you’re a good human being. Or as the cool kids like to say: YOLO. Just don’t act like the people who’ve adopted the YOLO mindset. Those people are on a self-destructive behavior and are mostly really awful people.

A short reality check to end the post.

Wasting time is a lot worse than wasting money because you can always regain your money. So many people have already gone from scratch to billionaire but how many people have you seen gain their time back?
