Long term consistency beats short term intensity

Long term consistency beats short term intensity. It’s a saying that’s been used so many times and people still don’t seem to get it. Most people aren’t consistent at all. They’re in it for the short run but give up as soon as they have to do it for a long time. Those people are ambitious ones but they’ll never get anything done because they’re constantly changing what they like and what they want. I’ll give you an example in a minute and I’ll explain why you should invest to do it in the long run.

People just don’t like long term consistency

People fear the unknown but they also fear the act of commitment. You can see it in everything they do and that’s probably the reason why so many people are getting divorced. The relationship isn’t “fun” anymore so they break up and search the sex drug from someone else. But this isn’t only the case for relationships. It’s a lifestyle that’ll kill you slowly. You just don’t get it yet because you’re too dumb to care. You became dumb and dumber because you stopped learning. You can’t get satisfaction by chasing something new every single day.

I know people who get on a diet and stop after 3 weeks because they feel like it was more than enough. Dieting for 3 weeks won’t give you your dream body. They soon follow the Western diet again and are out of shape before they know it.

How normal people do it (hint it’s without consistency)

Some people find a new sport and claim that they’ll invest all their time into it. They want to do it on a high level for as long as they can. Well, they last for about a day. Well, an hour in a day to be exact. They research where they can find a club and watch some YouTube videos while they’re chatting on Facebook. So they’re Social Media zombies who want attention. They want to be rich and everything they do but they don’t want to put in the work. Those people will become delusional and suddenly believe that everybody else is talented. There’s no such thing as talent. Hard work is what it takes for God’s sake.

There’s one thing that you should avoid at all costs. You don’t want to be famous for nothing.

How others do it

Others, on the other hand, do something they like and commit to it. I blog and do MMA but I never spend time on my phone when I research stuff about MMA. I don’t chase girls when I’m practicing and I do not change my thought every hour. You can only become better if you believe in hard work and consistency. Let me share with you a secret: there’s no such thing as talent. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. It’s pretty easy: the harder you work, the luckier you get.

What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while. Just think about it.
