From Z to A: on living life backward.

life

Most people are living life from A to Z but I’m doing it backward, just like most people here in Thailand. We’re the crazy ones according to them while we claim that they’re the crazy ones to us. We claim to be unplugged from the Matrix while they have nothing to add to that besides the fact that we’re crazy once again. Has anyone else noticed that most people’s insults are always the same?! Oh, normal people entertain me over and over again. But they’re mostly wrong in all their remarks. Quitting your job and stepping on a plane might seem scary but it’s not. You don’t need the safety net to feel extremely happy hence I would even say that I feel a lot happier now that I don’t have the safety net.

There are so many things that I can debunk but let me tell you one thing: living life from Z to A is awesome. It’s like living life in the fast lane.

From Z to A: the tattoo, the story, and the smoothie.

So I got my first tattoo last Thursday (you can check it out on Instagram) and the girl who tattooed me made a rather interesting remark when she saw me with my T-shirt with Zero To Alpha on it. She was like “from Z to A: it’s like your doing it backward”. This is kind of what I’m doing, to be honest. You see most people either need a giant midlife crisis or wait until retirement to live life. I permitted myself to live life at 26. I didn’t want to wait until 65 to do what I want because the things that I want require youthful energy. People at 65 don’t have the energy to train combat sports all day and they mostly face a lot of regrets as well because of the missed opportunities.

That’s pretty sad in my opinion because I can always regain the money but you can never regain lost time and that’s what most people don’t seem to understand. They’re so focused on making money that they completely forget to live life. Money and comfort seem to be the only thing that matters to people these days. Most of them probably check their account balance every single day while they slowly die away in their cubicle. They might even check blogs about people who travel all the time and then secretly envy them or even leave their hateful comments of the day.

From A to Z: it’s just not an option (for me).

People who go from A to Z mostly follow the herd (read here what I mean). They go to school, enroll in college or university, graduate, get a job and then move out of the house and start a family. It has to be something like that I assume. I feel that there’s little room for adventure and fun in that kind of lifestyle (partying every weekend doesn’t seem like fun to me). I mean I want a family but I can still do that after I have achieved my goals or when I’m a lot closer to what I want. Plus I can then “pick up” life again. Plus I can always go back to a job if stuff doesn’t work out.

Most people assume that I hate people who live like this but that’s not true. I have friends who live from A to Z and love life and their job so why would I hate on that. I just feel sorry for people who live a life that they don’t like for 40+ years.

From Z to A: a tattoo about life and a smoothie.

So there I was, sitting on a bench, getting my first tattoo while I was sipping a delicious fruit smoothie. Life isn’t that bad when you decide to live from Z to A. It made me realize what life has to offer and that maybe I’m not that crazy after all. I’m a lot happier that’s for sure. Living from Z to A will make sure that I’ll have a lot of crazy stories to tell my grandchildren that’s for sure.

From Z to A: living life on the fast lane.

I’m livin’ life in the fast lane
Movin’ at the speed of life and I can’t slow down
Only got a gallon in the gas tank
But I’m almost at the finish line, so I can’t stop now
I don’t know where I’m headed, just enjoyin’ the ride
Just gon’ roll ’til I drop and ride ’til I die
I’m livin’ life in the fast lane (Pedal to the metal)
I’m livin’ life in the fast lane (Pedal to the metal)

Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″ got it.
